Method of Assessment
Pupils keep a record of activities and skills covered
during the course.
Course Description
Pupils will cover a range of topics including: law and
order, the role of Parliament, housing and homelessness, financial awareness,
consumer rights, rights at work, moral and social issues and British society.
Range of Activities
Approaches to study are varied and include individual
and group classwork, use of ICT, role play and debates and a range of
activities involving outside speakers. Pupils are encouraged to get involved in
school and community activities and to keep a record of these to contribute to
their final school report.
How does Citizenship help a student for future courses and careers?
Citizenship is preparation for adult life - it enables pupils to be
active and informed members of our community.
