COMMUNITY LINKS

Primary Secondary Links

Kingshill has always enjoyed close links and co-operation with its local primary schools.  These links take many forms:

-      exchange of curriculum information, particularly in National Curriculum subjects

-      enabling primary pupils to experience the facilities Kingshill offers before admission in September by coming to a year 6 Induction Day.

-      extending the use of our P.E. facilities for use by local primary school pupils.

-      the development of a common transfer document to be used by all our feeder schools.

Staff from Kingshill also visit Primary schools throughout the year in relation to various curriculum matters.  Primary school staff, in turn, visit us to observe and speak with pupils who have recently transferred to Kingshill.    All these links are designed to enable pupils to transfer smoothly between schools.

The links with primary schools have been strengthened through the Cotswold School Sports Co-ordinator partnership hosted at Kingshill School.
