All pupils study Design and Technology for one double lesson per week in Year 7 on a nine week rotation. In Year 8 pupils study two aspects of DT for six months each and the same in Year 9.

Projects are centered around experimenting with tools, materials and processes through both focussed practical tasks and design and make tasks. Products include a maze game, a shaky hand tester and a storage container.

The Year 10 and 11 scheme is a full GCSE course where pupils follow the design process culminating in a design and make project which is realised in the form of a design folder and final product.
