Personal, Social and Health Education

back to subjects

Pupils have one lesson of Personal, Social and Health Education each week. The course aims to teach pupils about a range of issues which may affect their health as well as to explore ideas about how they relate to others and to the world around them. Citizenship education is included in all the Key Stage 3 PSHE lessons.

Outside speakers such as the Fire Service and the Police Schools Involvement Unit are also welcomed in to speak to classes.

Pupils will be involved in a range of activities such as discussion, debating, role-play, watching videos, creative writing and listening to outside speakers

Citizenship is taught at Key Stage 4.
